What does the $49 inspection include?
A camera scan of the full flue, the firebox, damper, smoke shelf and smoke chamber, the crown and cap above the roofline, and confirmation of which appliances vent where. You get a written report with photographs the same day.
What's the difference between the $49 and the $99?
$49 is an inspection — we scan the flue with a camera and tell you the condition it is in. $99 is a cleaning — we brush the full flue, clear the smoke shelf and firebox, and the inspection is included with it.
How long does it take?
An inspection on a typical single-flue house is about forty-five minutes to an hour. A cleaning is usually ninety minutes to two hours depending on the condition of the flue and roof access.
How often should a chimney be cleaned?
Once a year for any chimney in regular use. If you heat with wood as a main heat source you may need it more than once a season, and we'll show you the photographs that support that recommendation rather than just asserting it.
Do you offer same-day service?
Often, yes, particularly if you call before noon. Fall is the busiest stretch in New Jersey because most people book after the first cold night, so the earlier in the season you call the more choice of times you have.
